Patrick Keclik, MSW, LCSW, EMDR

Lead Clinical Supervisor

Hello — I’m Patrick Keclik, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and EMDR-trained therapist providing therapy in person at our Glen Ellyn office and through online/virtual therapy across Illinois and Arizona. I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating trauma, emotional regulation challenges, neurodivergence, and complex mental health concerns.

My work is grounded in compassion, structure, and a deep respect for each person’s unique nervous system, experiences, and strengths. I believe therapy works best when it is both relational and practical — helping clients understand themselves while also building tools that support daily life.

My Approach to Therapy

When you begin therapy with me — whether in person or through online therapy — my goal is to create a space that feels safe, structured, and attuned. Many of the clients I work with have experienced environments where their needs were misunderstood or unmet. I approach therapy with patience, curiosity, and a belief in each client’s capacity for growth.

My therapeutic style is trauma-informed and strengths-based. I focus on understanding how experiences shape emotional responses, behaviors, and relationships — and then building skills that support regulation, resilience, and connection.

Clients often describe my approach as calm, thoughtful, and grounding.

Trauma, EMDR & Complex Mental Health Care

A significant focus of my work involves trauma and complex trauma, including experiences that impact emotional regulation, self-concept, and relationships. I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help clients process distressing experiences in a way that feels contained, supported, and empowering.

EMDR can be especially effective for:

  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Complex trauma and developmental trauma
  • Anxiety and emotional reactivity
  • Clients who feel “stuck” despite insight

I integrate EMDR thoughtfully and collaboratively, ensuring clients feel prepared and supported throughout the process.

Neurodivergence, ADHD & Autism

I specialize in working with individuals who identify as neurodivergent, including those with ADHD and autism. I take a neuro-affirming approach that focuses on understanding how each person’s brain works, rather than trying to “fix” or suppress differences.

Therapy may include:

  • Emotional regulation support
  • Executive functioning strategies
  • Identity and self-esteem work
  • Parent coaching to support children and teens

I work closely with parents to provide guidance that is practical, compassionate, and aligned with each family’s values.

Who I Work With

I support:

  • Children and teens navigating emotional or developmental challenges • Adults seeking trauma-informed therapy
  • Parents looking for coaching and guidance
  • Clients with complex emotional or relational patterns

My background as a school social worker, combined with extensive private practice experience, allows me to understand how mental health intersects with education, family systems, and daily life.

In-Person & Online Therapy

I provide in-person therapy in Glen Ellyn and virtual therapy across Illinois and Arizona, offering flexibility for families and individuals with busy schedules or location constraints. As a virtual therapist, I prioritize presence and connection so sessions feel meaningful and supportive.

Clinical Supervision

In addition to my clinical work, I provide clinical supervision to provisionally licensed therapists, including professionals outside of Fash Counseling. This work reflects my commitment to ethical practice, professional development, and the ongoing growth of the mental health field.

(This service is offered separately from therapy.)

My Philosophy

I believe therapy is about understanding — understanding yourself, your nervous system, and the patterns that shape your life. Healing happens when people feel seen, supported, and empowered with tools that actually work for them.

If you’re looking for a therapist in Glen Ellyn or a virtual therapist in Illinois or Arizona who offers trauma-informed care, EMDR, neuro-affirming support, and thoughtful guidance for children, adults, and families, I would be honored to work with you.

Support is available — and meaningful change is possible.
