Noelle Dragon, MS, LPC

Therapist

Hello — I’m Noelle Dragon, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) providing therapy in person at our Glen Ellyn office and through online/virtual therapy across Illinois. I work with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults, supporting individuals through trauma, emotional regulation challenges, personality-related concerns, and periods of personal growth and change.

While I am especially skilled at working with younger clients, I want to emphasize that I work meaningfully with clients across the lifespan. My approach is adaptable, developmentally informed, and grounded in evidence-based care.

Noelle at a Glance

I work best with individuals who are navigating:

  • Trauma and complex trauma
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Personality disorders, including borderline personality disorder (BPD)
  • Emotional regulation challenges
  • Identity development and personal growth
  • Life transitions and relationship stress

I offer:

  • In-person therapy in Glen Ellyn
  • Online therapy and virtual counseling across Illinois

My Approach to Therapy

When you begin therapy with me — whether in person or through online therapy — my goal is to create a space that feels safe, supportive, and collaborative. Many clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by intense emotions, past experiences, or patterns they don’t fully understand. I believe therapy works best when clients feel both supported and empowered to build insight and skills.

My approach is relational and structured. I work to help clients understand how past experiences shape present reactions, while also developing practical strategies for managing emotions and navigating relationships more effectively.

Clients often describe our work together as grounding, validating, and skill-building — a space where meaningful growth can happen over time.

Who I Work With

I support a wide range of clients, including:

  • Children and adolescents navigating emotional, social, or developmental challenges
  • Young adults managing identity development, independence, and life transitions
  • Adults working through trauma, mood concerns, and long-standing emotional patterns

Although I work well with younger clients, my practice is not limited to children. I enjoy supporting adults and young adults who are seeking deeper self-understanding, emotional balance, and personal growth.

Clinical Focus & Areas of Support

My clinical areas of focus include:

  • Trauma and complex trauma
  • Anxiety and stress-related concerns
  • Depression and mood challenges
  • Personality disorders, including BPD
  • Emotional regulation and coping skills
  • Personal growth and development

I have previous experience working in a higher level of care setting, which has shaped my comfort and competence in supporting clients with more complex or acute needs. This background allows me to remain calm, structured, and supportive when working with intense emotions or challenging clinical presentations.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) & Skills-Based Work

A key component of my work includes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). DBT offers practical, evidence-based skills for:

  • Emotional regulation
  • Distress tolerance
  • Interpersonal effectiveness
  • Mindfulness

I integrate DBT skills into therapy in a way that feels accessible and relevant to daily life, helping clients build tools they can use both in and outside of sessions.

In-Person & Online Therapy

I provide in-person therapy in Glen Ellyn and virtual therapy throughout Illinois, offering flexibility for clients with different schedules and needs. Whether we meet in person or online, my focus is on creating a consistent, supportive therapeutic relationship where you feel understood and respected.

My Philosophy

I believe therapy is a space for growth, understanding, and meaningful change. Healing is not about perfection — it’s about learning how to navigate life with greater awareness, resilience, and self-compassion. My role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, care, and evidence-based support.

If you’re looking for a therapist in Glen Ellyn or a virtual therapist in Illinois who works thoughtfully with trauma, emotional regulation, and personal development across all ages, I would be honored to support you.

You don’t have to navigate this alone — therapy can be a place to build clarity, confidence, and connection.
